Cooking Notes

- Crack seeds slightly before cooking to release the seed’s oils.
- Excellent on fish and pork.
- Adds a subtle fragrance to sausage and marinara sauce.
- Blends well with tomatoes.
- Can be used to add a regal note to biscotti, candies, breads, cookies, and tea.
- Make a fennel tea by steeping 1 tsp. fennel seeds in very hot water for 5 minutes. Make a calming variation by combining ½ tsp. fennel and ½ tsp. lavender. Sweeten as desired.
