In searching for the origin of the bowl and chopsticks, designer Masayuki Kurokawa is inspired by the two elements that nurture all living beings, wind and soil — or in the native language “Fudo”. The result are a bowl with profile and a pair of chopsticks representing twigs, which are perhaps the ultimate origin of these two utensils. Shaped by nature and patterned by wind and soil, “Fudo” is a duo of bone china bowl that intuitively fit within your palms, and a pair of humble chopsticks in ebony wood that impeccably pick up flavors offered by earth.
