This is something you’ll be able to say honestly as you smell this barbeque on your favorite meat dishes. This is a common blend in Korean cooking and balances salty, sweet, spicy, bitter, and savory flavors.

 

Cooking Notes

  • Comes in a 2 oz package
  • Excellent on banchan, jjigae, and kimchi.
  • Mix some of this blend into some rice to add a gingery zip to this basic grain.
  • Blend with soy sauce to make a marinade for beef, pork, seafood, tofu, or vegetables.
  • Can be made into a dipping sauce called Ssamjang.
  • Ingredients: granulated brown sugar, soy sauce powder (non-GMO, fermented soy sauce (soybean, wheat), maltodextrin, salt), sesame seeds, garlic, onion, chiles, spices, and citric acid. Contains: Soy, wheat, sesame.
